Dr. Karim Alami is a registered Naturopath serving patients in the Ottawa and Stittsville area. His passion as a kinesiologist drove him to pursue his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Concurrently, Dr. Karim obtained his Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (DHMHS) at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Karim is a lead instructor at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, Ottawa. Although he has a general practice, Dr. Karim has a special interest in treating gut-related health issues and men’s health concerns.

Dr. Karim is certified in Intravenous Therapy (IV nutrient Therapy) and is also able to provide vitamin B12 and vitamin D injections. I enjoy treating people who are committed to their health and who are ready to make a change. I work with my patients as a health detective to discover the root cause and develop an effective treatment plan that works for them. Although I see patients who suffer from various health concerns, I especially enjoy treating digestive health. This is because I believe for every system in the body to function optimally, we need to not only ensure a nutritious diet that provides the body with the resources it needs to carry out its metabolic tasks, but also proper digestion and absorption of those nutrients. Dysfunction at any point along the digestive tract can manifest as symptoms in other systems such as eczema, asthma, gastrointestinal symptoms, autoimmunity or even weight gain.
